Last week, Flandersh Tech released the free Dynamension Creative Dynamic Processor plugin for Windows.
Dynamension, like all plugins from Flandersh Tech, is available exclusively as a VST3, 64-bit release.
Flandersh Tech explains that Dynamension redefines the conventional structure of compressors and expanders, allowing users to “feed the main path, sidechain, and gain control with creative effects.”
The developer states that Dynamension is ideal for those wanting to control delay time with the momentary loudness of a track, apply instrument compression, or use a gentle hard-knee limiter.
Currently, there is no official demo showing Dynamension in action, but a user demo is available on YouTube for those who want to hear it before installation.
The plugin features a compressor, gate, expander, dynamic EQ, and delay.
It includes types of loudness detection: peak, RMS, and momentary. Dynamension also has a modular main path and a side-chain feature.
Additional features are a hard-knee limiter, mid/side processing mode, and a preset selector.
Due to the setup of the different sections and the integration of effects, the plugin offers a unique point of difference that could inspire creativity in productions.
The setup files for the plugin are accessible via a single click from the product page. Note that Windows 8.1 or newer is required to run the plugin. Unfortunately, Dynamension does not run on macOS.
Dynamension is the 11th plugin release from Flandersh Tech, all of which are available for free download from the developer’s website.
